Team
The team for Bloodlines Racing Partnerships consists of the breeder and General Manager, James R. McGlinn, and the trainers for our racehorses. We are racing primarily in two horse racing jurisdictions – Pennsylvania and New York. Our racehorses are Registered New York and Pennsylvania Bred horses making them eligible for the lucrative state-bred programs of these states. Our racehorses can race anywhere, but their home base will be these two states. Our Pennsylvania horses are trained by Juan Carlos Guerrero, one of Parx’s leading trainers year in and year out. Our New York horses are trained by one of NY’s top trainers, Bruce Levine.
BREEDER AND GENERAL MANAGER
My name is James R. McGlinn. I am the General Manager of Bloodlines Racing Partnerships and breeder of our Racehorse Offerings. In 1966, as a junior in high school, I made my initial trip to a racetrack, Monmouth Park, in New Jersey. I followed that with frequent trips to Garden State, Liberty Bell and Atlantic City Racetracks. From the very first horserace that I saw, I was hooked. The speed, the pageantry and pushing $2 through the teller’s windows all made thoroughbred horse racing the greatest sport in the world to me. Now, all these years later, I feel the same way I did then.

BREEDING
In 1991, I bought my first mare. In a few years I was breeding 1-3 mares per year. Of these offspring, I kept and raced some of them. Others I sold at various sales – Keeneland Sales in Kentucky and Ocala Breeder’s Sales in Florida. I have raced horses in Toronto, New Orleans, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. Among the racehorses I have bred are Champion Colorful Vices, and millionaire sire, Repent. I also received Canada’s highest equine award, the Sovereign (pictured below), for breeding Champion Colorful Vices. On April 4, 2016, Bloodlines Racing Partnerships’ Invading Humor was named the NY Bred Female Turf Champion of 2015. The is a great honor to the horse and to our program. Being the breeder of Invading Humor, I was honored with a Breeder’s Award for that accomplishment.
“I’ve seen him at work on his farm and he is “hands on” with his horses from the time they’re babies right up until they begin their training.”
-Carlos Guerrero, award winning Pennsylvania trainer
“I’ve known him since 1991, he’s very knowledgeable in all aspects of the industry – breeding, evaluation, racing…”
-Jim Day – 4 time Outstanding Trainer in Canada and Racing Hall of Fame inductee.
“As up front and honest as they come. His knowledge of pedigrees is astonishing. Seems to know when and where to run his horses. I’ve known him for over 20 years.”
-Robert Genovese, thoroughbred owner and breeder.
